Georgie Fame is a seminal figure in British popular music who helped to introduce the sounds of rhythm and blues, jazz, soul, ska and other ‘black’ music styles to a UK audience in the 1960s.Remastered at Abbey Road under the supervision of Georgie’s son and touring guitarist, Tristan Powell, this new 5 disc box-set will feature Georgie’s first 4 seminal Columbia LPs plus 60 bonus tracks: singles, b-sides, rarities, BBC sessions, bootlegs and 18 previously unreleased cuts, plus a 48-page booklet, five post cards and a 187mm x 137mm poster of a rare photo of Georgie and Mick Jagger backstage in 1964.

Tracks 1 to 10 are his debut album "Rhythm And Blues At The Flamingo" – released January 1964 in the UK on Columbia 33SX 1599 in Mono only. It failed to chart and produced one British 7" single in January 1964 - "Do The Dog" b/w "Shop Around" on Columbia DB 7193 (tracks 3 and 9) which also failed to chart. The album was recorded 'live' in September 1963 and Produced by Ian Samwell with Glyn Johns as the Engineer. MONO Mix on CD.
